Data Authentication

For any record on the phone to hold value, it needs to be signed, much like a doctor’s prescription. VIRcode has developed a comprehensive signing key system utilizing public/private 384-bit elliptical curve keys. The system that generates the QR code will sign the data using the private key. The public key, transmitted with the current or a previous QR code, will authenticate any record the device receives. This authentication process ensures that the data is signed by the private key and verifies that the public key itself is valid and has not been revoked.

The verified digital signature information is prominently displayed in the user interface, providing transparency and assurance to anyone viewing the record. This system guarantees the integrity and authenticity of the data, ensuring that the information remains secure and trustworthy.
